It's made from a combination of Nomex® and Kevlar® and available at a very attractive price. This fire resistant beanie is double-layered and designed to fit comfortably under your hard hat, not only providing its fire resistive capability but also a welcomed degree of warmth. This is a one-size-fits-most FR beanie that's easy to care for, able to be machine washed at home or sent out for commercial laundering.

Carrying an Arc rating (ATPV) of 37, it complies with the requirements of NFPA 70E and falls in the highest, #4 Hazard Risk Category (HCR). A flame retardant hat like this is invaluable in a variety of occupations including fire and rescue operations, foundry work, electrical line work and it's especially handy for wearing under a welder's mask.     No option to select size and was sent a medium knit cap. Might as well have been a small because it doesn’t even fit.

    Happy with all products (spent over $1000) except the knit cap. I thought it was thin, cheap, and won't keep my head warm, especially for its price.
